Measuring and cutting the pipes

2. Measure your child from knee to elbow and add 10 inches (to allow growth). This is the length of pipe you'll need.
3. Cut the pipe to the desired length using a hacksaw.
4. Using a marker, mark where you want to put on each leg of the desk and push them into the cement (make sure they're level with each other).
5. Fill the pipes with cement, using a piece of wood to push it in.
Assembling the frame of the desk
You'll need to put the frame together in a triangle shape (you can choose any size, but I chose 8 feet long). Start by putting one of the legs into the cement (level with each other) and then secure it using wood or cement blocks. Put the other leg into the cement and secure it with wood or cement blocks.
