Puffin Gear® hats and accessories for infants, children, and adults are carefully made in their Toronto studio using beautiful and functional fabrics.
It all started out over 20 years ago at Toronto's St. Lawrence market. As a young family who loved to hike, canoe, ski, and take their kids along on all their adventures, there was a continual frustration with the lack of functional, comfortable clothing with modern style. Heather started sewing combining her engineering background, her love of fabric, and a substantial fabric stash.
Encouraged by friends and local shops to sell her products a market cart was rented and the rest is history.
Our commitment to designing quality accessories is defined by the Atlantic Puffin who exudes flair with its vividly-colored beak, red-eye markings, and bright orange legs while withstanding exposure to varied and harsh conditions.

We've used our knowledge gained from 25 years of hat making to design a comfortable well-fitting mask for all ages. A gently contoured compression under the chin and across the nose provides a secure fit. A roomy fit across the mouth makes it easy to talk while wearing a mask. Two soft elastic bands around the head prevent irritation when wearing for extended periods of time.
